I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Columbia Business School. I completed my Ph.D. from the Psychology Department at Stanford University.
I study obstacles to effectively communicating across divides. By “divides,” I mean differences in status, identity and ideology as well as everyday disagreements that often make conversations feel risky or difficult. I am passionate about identifying ways to improve these everyday interactions in an increasingly interconnected and polarized world. My work is strengthened through interdisciplinary collaborations and a multi-method approach where I deploy longitudinal conversation experiments and intervention field studies.
My work has been published in top academic journals including Psychological Science, Science Advances, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.
